Shawn Gleason works on entering appointment records into the computer system while his wife Betsy fields the morning's calls, as their dog Nellie wanders around in their Corvallis clinic on Nov. 14. The clinic is about 20 feet away from their adjacent home, but it seems that Gleason spends the majority of his time in the clinic. Betsy works full time in the office, keeping books, ordering medical supplies, booking appointments and greeting clients as they arrive.
